Quick Solutions and Trouble Shooting Tips for Panel Spec 3.0

Q: Will my Panel Spec 2.0 plate and panel drawings carry over to Panel Spec 3.0?

A: No, Panel Spec 2.0 and Panel Spec 3.0 use entirely different systems when it comes to design and previous drawings will not carry over. This does not mean your old drawings will be deleted however. Panel Spec 2.0 will continue to be supported into the foreseeable future and will be active alongside Panel Spec 3.0. It is greatly encouraged to make the jump to Panel Spec 3.0 going forward, however, as it improves in many areas that Panel Spec 2.0 was lacking in.

Q: If I have a Panel Spec 2.0 or Covid.com account, will it also work on Panel Spec 3.0?

A: No, all three are separate websites and do not share login details. However, if you currently have a Panel Spec 2.0 account, it has already been mirrored over to Panel Spec 3.0 and you should be able to log in with the same information without issue.

Q: What does the red dot by my username mean?

A: Panel Spec 3.0 updates will be applied automatically every time you re-enter the site or refresh it. However, on very rare occasions you might notice a red dot by your username drop down at the upper right corner of the screen. This means that a new major update or bug fix has been implemented in the software and is ready to install. Clicking on it will reveal a new option named New Update Available. Click it to restart the website and install the update. Panel Spec 3.0 does this automatically, however, and this will generally only happen if the program receives an update while you’re actively using it.
